Seasons in Africa

Seasons in Africa has a portfolio of fabulous properties and activities, stretching throughout Southern Africa – ranging from luxury lodges, hotels and restaurants to exciting adventures, proudly offered by a dedicated team. Each of the properties boasts warm, friendly and personalised service based on their passion for Africa and the hospitality industry.

Magnolia Restaurant and Café

Situated opposite the Casterbridge Hollow Boutique Hotel, Magnolia Restaurant & Café is a breath of fresh air on the White River and South African culinary scene. Inspired by rural French charm, it offers a sophisticated yet relaxed taste of the best the region has to offer.

Casterbridge Hollow

If a bit of Lowveld peace is what you are looking for, the beautiful gardens and pool deliver just that and there is absolutely no pressure to head off to the adjacent gym, although a trip to the Wellness Centre may be on your agenda. Staying in the heart of Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre means shops, art galleries, restaurants and even a cinema are a gentle stroll away.

Gumtreez Pub and Grill

Their personal service, together with the friendly atmosphere and good food is the draw card for this bustling, vibey restaurant. An expansive menu caters to most tastes and the Austin’s are savvy restaurateurs – by creating separate seating areas, they’ve managed to offer different eating experiences, thus broadening the Gumtreez offering.

Aggi de Aguiar – Casterbridge Music Development Academy

He may be known as ‘Grumps’ by some cheeky academy ‘graduates’, but Aggi gets the best out of his musical charges and the opportunities that have come their way are staggering. Experienced professional South African bands haven’t got the stellar CV’s that Aggi’s youth bands have – opening for and sharing the stage with the likes of Mango Groove, Allie Campbell (UB40), The Parlotones, Watershed, Elvis Blue…and the kids are going on to study and play music in Cape Town, Joburg and Los Angeles.

A single solution to the country’s education woes is unlikely, but 2Enable is ticking many boxes as a practical, affordable and far reaching solution which fits the diverse levels of education and communication infrastructure in South Africa. “An African solution to an African problem,” says Mike. And homegrown here in White River.

Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre

The stylish décor and features synonymous with the centre are thanks to Louis’ many creative friends, who gave generous input and ideas. The result – a unique, tranquil spot that draws visitors and locals in to eat, shop and play. The lack of large anchor tenants and the large number of independent owner-managed businesses contributes to the centre’s charming, relaxed vibe.
